Applications are being accepted for a Wills and Estates/Corporate Commercial Legal Assistant
Experience with estate planning, estate administration, and corporate/commercial matters would be an asset.
Responsibilities include opening and closing files, invoicing clients, preparing correspondence, assisting with the drafting of estate planning documents, assisting with estate administration files and grant applications, completing service, filings at Surrogate Court, drafting miscellaneous corporate/commercial documents as necessary and assisting with other solicitor-based legal tasks such as real estate and corporate commercial matters.
The successful candidate will manage files to completion, report to clients and take care of the day-to-day administrative duties of a busy practice such as tasks lists, file organization, appointment bookings, diarizations, preparing accounts, and filing.
The successful candidate must also be detail oriented, a self-starter, accurate and have exceptional multi-tasking, communication, and organization skills. Advanced Word and experience with document production and management systems are an asset.
