Witten LLP is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager. You will work as an integral member of Witten LLP’s management team and report directly to the Managing Partner.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for talent acquisition efforts, including job postings, scheduling interviews, reference checks, candidate assessments, and maintaining relationships with employment agencies
- Responsible for onboarding and offboarding initiatives, including new hire packages, conducting orientations and exit interviews
- Is the primary contact in handling employee concerns and providing support to resolve human resource issues
- Responsible for maintaining job descriptions and employee records (attendance, vacation, sick time, personnel files, benefits administration)
- Experience with Payroll is required, will support Payroll & Benefits Administrator to ensure accurate processing of semi-monthly payroll for 150+ employees and other data entry for monthly reports
- Support the Payroll & Benefit Administrator with communication and administering company benefits
- Responsible for annual performance process, including facilitating employee review meetings and tracking employee performance
- Planning and organizing company events and meetings
- Coordinating employee birthday cards, anniversary announcements, payroll change notices, updating firm directory, service awards, employee recognition
- Assist with managing office budget and expenses
- Maintains confidential HR files and databases
- Contributing and working with the senior administrative team on special projects as required
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, with a minimum 5 years’ experience and at least 3 years of supervisory experience, CPHR designation is an asset
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Dayforce HCM is preferred
- Knowledge in employment regulations including Employment Standards Act
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
- Proven record of responsibility and judgment including exercise of discretion and confidentiality
- Excellent communication and writing skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external professionals
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines
- Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to take on initiatives with confidence working in a fast-paced environment
- Resourceful, business minded individual who can provide solutions, relationship building and delivering excellent customer service
