Gillian Clarke is a civil litigator focused on personal injury law, disability insurance and insurance law and Workers' Compensation Board claims. After obtaining her Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Calgary (1989) and her Bachelor of Law at the University of Alberta (1992), she was admitted to the Alberta bar in 1993.
For over 25 years, Gillian has been advocating and providing a voice for people who have been injured and whose lives have changed due to the negligence of others or as a result of the disabilities or conditions from which they suffer. Gillian’s approach to practice is to be respectful, responsive, and always well prepared in her dealings with all parties.
A past chair of the Canadian Bar Association Alberta Law Conference, Gillian is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association Personal Injury, Civil Litigation and Insurance Law Sections. She has volunteered with the Alberta Diabetes Foundation (ADF) since 2007 and has been part of the ADF Board since 2013. Gillian was Chair of the ADF Board of Directors from 2017 to 2020 and continues to remain on the Board as Past Chair and as a Director.
Since 2018, Gillian is honoured to have been recognized in the peer-reviewed list, The Best Lawyers in Canada™, in the area of Personal Injury Litigation and was again, most recently in its 17th Edition.
Outside of the office, Gillian enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and gardening.
