J. Simon Elzen-Hoskyn
Simon completed his B.A. with Distinction (2011) at The King’s University, his Juris Doctor (2014) at the University of Alberta and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2015.
Simon is a litigator with a focus in employment law, construction law and aboriginal law. He has represented clients in arbitrations and mediations, including significant involvement in a two-year commercial arbitration culminating in a lengthy hearing.
Simon volunteers with Civil Claims Duty Counsel and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association Civil Litigation, Aboriginal Law and Labour & Employment sections.
Outside of the office, Simon spends as much time as possible with his wife, Marney, and their three kids, Amyas, Atticus and Adelphey. Simon occasionally relives his previous life as a recording artist by playing shows in local venues. He also enjoys tennis, skateboarding, road-biking, and listening to all types of music on full blast.
