Maryna received her Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction) in 2013 and her Juris Doctor in 2017 from the University of Alberta. In business school, Maryna was the Local Chair for the “Five Days for the Homeless” Campaign, where she led a team in fundraising $43, 961 for the Youth Empowerment and Support Services. She was also the Vice President Internal for the Business Student Association, a student ambassador for the Alberta School of Business and an academic director for the Network for Empowered Women Conference.
While attending law school, Maryna was involved with the Student Legal Services Civil/Family Project and law show. She received the Halyna Chomiak Freeland Memorial Award and the Alberta Law Foundation Legal Service Grant.
Outside of work, Maryna enjoys exploring Edmonton and its vibrant culture, staying active, travelling, reading books, eating poutine and spending time with her Boston Terrier named Peter.
